Hyatt Place Hotels Austin - www.hplaceaustinarboretum.com In April 2007 a Camden Hospitality affiliate acquired four AmeriSuites properties in Texas. All four properties will be renovated and re-branded as Hyatt Place Hotels. Hyatt’s newest brand emphasizes stylish design and high-tech amenities serving upscale clientele. The four Texas properties, totaling 528 rooms, are located in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Grand Prairie.
Las Terrazas, Belize C.A. An affiliate of Camden Hospitality Group is developing 74 unit luxury condominiums and villas located in the islands of Ambergris Caye in Belize. The second largest barrier reef of the coast of Belize is directly in front of the development. Belize is home to the world’s first and largest jaguar reserve and is also the location of the oldest Mayan sites in Central America. The affiliate has retained Johnson International, the largest construction company in the Caribbean, and J.E Dunn, a global construction management company to construct and manage the project. Completion Date: Summer 2007
Journey’s End Resort, Belize C.A. Journey’s End Resort is managed by Camden Hospitality. The waterfront resort is on 52 acres located on the island of Ambergris Caye. This full service resort includes the spectacular Luna Restaurant, an internet / cigar bar, Toucan Bar, full service 5 Star dive shop and gift shop. The resort has gone through several renovations including custom designs such as hand made Indonesian mahogany furniture, and fine linens. This resort is ideal for weddings, small groups, scuba divers, as well as leisure guests.
The Lodge at Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs In July, 2005 an affiliate of Camden Hospitality Group participated in the acquisition of Rancho Mirage from Vail Resorts. The resort spans 24 acres in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains overlooking the Coachella Valley. Under a new luxury hotel flag, the property will be restored to its former level of preeminence within the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley. This 240-key property will undergo a major renovation and a significant residential expansion. The comprehensive renovation will include a 20,000 square-foot spa, expanded meeting space (including a second ballroom), additional swimming pools, food and beverage venues, and enhanced landscaping and recreational amenities. The renovation and residential pre-sales are expected to commence in 2006.
Molasses Reef, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve An affiliate of Camden Hospitality Group participated in a joint venture to develop Molasses Reef, the first exclusive reserve product for The Ritz-Carlton, is a 125-key hotel located on an 11-square-mile, 6000-acre island at he far west end of the Turks & Caicos Island. The island, called West Caicos Reserve, will include Molasses Reef, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve; Island Villas, Ritz-Carlton Managed Condominiums Residences; secluded single family homes; custom homes; cottages; and marina town homes. The island is home to the 500-acre Lake Catherine, a natural wildlife sanctuary and breeding ground for pink roseate flamingoes, as well as Molasses Reef, ranking among the world’s top dive sites. Summerfield Suites In December, 2004, an affiliate of Camden Hospitality Group participated in a joint venture to acquire a 50% interest in the Summerfield Suites brand along with six existing assets. The joint venture is committed to growing the Summerfield brand via new development, management contracts and franchise development. The joint venture partnership is committed to developing additional Summerfield Suites properties throughout the United States and has arranged for Lehman Brothers to provide construction financing to third-party franchisees in order to induce them to develop additional properties.
Bradford Home Suites In March of 2006, an affiliate of Camden Hospitality Group participated in a joint venture to acquire all of Bradford Home Suites Hotels for approximately $84 million. The portfolio includes four properties in Dallas; two in Houston; one in Austin, Texas; one in Denver and one in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The upscale extended-stay hotels will undergo a $15 million renovation, which will commerce in July 2006 and are scheduled for completion in December 2006. The renovations will include the addition of high-speed Internet access in the coffee lounge, a new business center, new exercise facilities, king-sized beds will be added to the guest suites and a soft goods renovation to the guest houses. The joint venture partnership plans to flag the hotels under national brands, with the majority of the properties expected to be branded as Hyatt Summerfield Suites. Future Plans
